Tefillin Bank
Tefillin Bank
If a Yid is ready to start putting on Tefillin every day but can't afford a proper pair, the Machon Stam Tefillin Bank steps in to help. In partnership with several Tefillin funds around the world, we arrange high-quality Tefillin for those who are genuinely committed to this mitzvah but need financial assistance.
How it Works
Nomination by a Rabbi or Shliach
A local Rav or Shliach — or you, if you're helping someone — submits the nomination form below.
Review & Approval
We review the request together with our partner Tefillin banks. If approved, funding is allocated for a pair of lechatchila kosher Tefillin.
Tefillin Through Machon Stam
The Tefillin are supplied directly through Machon Stam with the same high standards we provide to all our customers.
Eligibility Requirements
This program is intended for individuals who truly cannot afford Tefillin and who have never owned a pair before. Please read the requirements carefully before submitting a nomination.
To qualify, the recipient must:
- Not be able to afford Tefillin on their own
- Have never previously owned a pair of Tefillin
- Already be post–Bar Mitzvah
- Commit to putting on Tefillin every weekday
⚠ Please note: this program is not intended for replacement pairs due to loss, damage, or upgrades.
In addition, we kindly ask that a photo of the recipient wearing the Tefillin be submitted after receipt, so it can be shared with the donors who helped make it possible. Rabbinic recommendation may also be requested.
Please note:
We are currently receiving a large number of requests and response times may take up to 30 days. The 50% subsidy is handled much faster and is usually processed within a week to 10 days.
Nomination Form
If the person can contribute at least 50% toward their Tefillin, please fill out the form below — we'll cover the rest. This is our preferred arrangement, as it allows them to have a personal share in their own pair of Tefillin.
