The entire Morristown community was uplifted last Sunday as they gathered to celebrate a momentous occasion: the welcoming of a brand new Sefer Torah. This beautiful new scroll was generously dedicated by Rabbi and Mrs. Shalom Spalter in loving honor of their parents.
The event drew a large and varied crowd, including relatives, local community members, and the enthusiastic bochurim of both Tomchei Temimim and Tiferes Bachurim, all united in the joy of Torah.
The Final Letters
The festivities commenced with an intimate atmosphere at the Spalter residence. There, family members and honored guests were given the privilege of participating in the writing of the final letters of the holy scroll, completing the work just before it began its journey.

Dancing in the Streets
Following the completion of the letters, the celebration spilled out of the home and onto the streets of Morristown. The Torah was carried under a chupah in a lively parade, accompanied by high-energy music and spirited dancing that energized the entire neighborhood as it made its way toward the Rabbinical College of America.
The community celebrated with a lively parade en route to the Yeshiva.
Hakafos in the Zal
The procession culminated at its destination: the beautiful Tomchei Temimim zal. Upon arrival, the energy intensified further with joyous Hakafos. The new Torah was danced around the bima amidst spirited singing, eventually taking its rightful place in the Aron Kodesh.

A New Sefer Released
To further mark this special occasion, a special new edition of the Shaarei Shalom was released. This newly published sefer features Haaros U’Biurim (insights and explanations) on the Rebbe’s Haggadah, authored by Rabbi Spalter. We are told that copies of this new work will soon be available in local bookstores.
Mazel Tov to the Spalter family and the entire Morristown community on this tremendous simcha!
